You have questions. We have answers.
If you have a window with a defect such as a crack or fogging, you generally have two options. You can replace the whole window, which includes the frame, or you can order an insulated unit insert which is installed within the existing frame. Contact us to discuss the benefits and limitations of either option.
Ruidoso building code follows the 2009 International Energy Conservation Code requiring all new fenestration to be wood or vinyl frame. Our windows are vinyl framed which is more energy efficient, less maintenance, and less likely to visibly chip, fade, or corrode.

U-factor is a metric used to measure how much heat flows through a window, door, or skylight. Essentially, this measures how well a window insulates. The lower the U-factor, the better the window insulates. Ruidoso is in IECC Climate Zone 5B and the maximum U-factor allowed is 0.35.
